After designing the first
draft we conducted usability testing for some of the main user scenarios in the
app.
Objective of the Test
Test five main processes, to understand if the new UX design is clear and easy to understand to the user.Target Users
Ten people from different places around the globe: Israel, the USA, Australia, France, and Spain. 75% of the participants were 45 to 65 years old.Prototype
Before we started the interviews and the testing, I created a live prototype using the Justinmind prototyping tool for web and mobile apps.
The Tasks
The participants received five tasks:1. “Please connect the app to the pool cleaning robot, using the WiFi”
2. ”Set a weekly recurring pool cleaning, type pool floor on Monday at 20:00”
3. ”Set a specific area for the robot to clean”
4. ”Please set pool walls and waterline cleaning for 2 hours from now"
5. ”Purchase 1 year warranty extension for your robot”
